Quite a crowd gathers for
this annual event on the shores of Limekiln Lake, Cty. Q, at Becker
Marine. In 2009, a pre-party begins at 10 a.m. at the Wheel House Restaurant and
the plunge into the lake takes place at 1 p.m. The event is open to all.

celebration begins with a 10 a.m. parade on Main Street, followed by a
chicken barbecue and Kiwanis food concession at South Park - complete

Skiers present a show at 6 p.m. on Rainbow Lake at the Wisconsin Veterans
Home on Cty. Trk. QQ, and the city's fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m. at South
Park.

The Waupaca Community Arts
Board presents a fine arts celebration called "Arts on the Square" on
Saturday, Aug. 18, in conjunction with Waupaca's Sesquicentennial. A
juried fine arts festival featuring over 50 artists will form the base
for a multidimensional celebration of the arts. This event will take
place around the Waupaca Town Square. The festival will include a
24-hour theatrical installation; arts workshops in which all community
members will be encouraged to participate; an expanded farmer's market;
an entertainment stage, and wandering street performers. A listing of
