Helping students learn what business is all about is what ‘The Pitch’ is. The one day off campus learning experience takes the Waupaca Middle School 8th grade class to a destination where ‘The Pitch” inventor, Steve Bench, leads them through a full day of what running a business is like. The students join forces to form a start-up company, invent a product, form a business plan and delver the perfect sales pitch to the judges. Throughout the day they practice soft skills, networking and compete for candy, prizes and bragging rights.
This is one of the many programs that the Waupaca Area Chamber collaborates on, with the School District of Waupaca to help students learn about jobs and businesses
